MIT's Fall 2018 Urban Design Studio focused planning for the future of the Coachella Valley. With extreme heat and energy security becoming major factors, coupled with an expected population growth of 99% by 2035 and a transforming mobility industry – this studio asked us how to design for a future of extreme change and uncertainty.
